Getting rid of laundry funk

It’s a rainy Friday night and I am up to my ears in laundry. It is amazing to me how many loads a family of 4 can create in less than 5 days.

Remember when my house flooded a little more than a month ago?  Yeah, no laundry got done in my casa during that time. My poor parents had me hogging up their washer and dryer. Well the awesome company TCOPR got kind of grossed out, told me to grow up and move back home and wash my own clothes

I kid, they didn’t say that. But they did  hook me up with a new Febreeze/Tide products that takes the stank out of clothes.

The Odor Eliminator is professional strength and goes right into the wash with detergent. I wonder if I can put it in my bath too?

From the website:

Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator is a laundry aid that works in the washer with detergents to eliminate odors such as perspiration, cooking oil, grease, motor oil, pets, garden soil and mildew from virtually any washable fabric. While detergents clean the soils Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator cleans away odors that get trapped in fabrics.

Use Febreze Laundry Odor Eliminator in any of your laundry loads with odors that can be hard to remove with detergent alone.  These loads often include items such as work uniforms or clothes, sports or fitness clothing, cooking towels, or restaurant uniforms.

So far it seems to be doing its job. I like that it’s a separate product and not combined with a detergent so that I can still use Free and Clear to wash the kids clothes. I have been using Tide Sport with Febreeze on my workout gear for the past year and notice that this odor eliminator does not have as heavy of a scent. I kinda like that.

The true test will come when I wash my dog’s bed. If it comes out with no dog smell I will be their next brand ambassador.

They also sent me 2 new Tide Sport Laundry bags (one for the gym, one for travel) that I will be using during the Ragnar Relay next week

Both the travel bag and the laundry bag have built-in odor absorbers to keep the stink inside. My other teammates will be super appreciative of my attempt to keep my funk out of their faces.

Thank you TCOPR for the goods! And an extra thank you from team So Much Cooler Online who will have one less stinky runner in a van for 200 miles!

I’ll be headed to Lulu yoga in the morning if anyone wants to join me. Hoping to get a longish run in on Sunday when the sunshine is back. The pain in my heel is almost gone so I am praying it’s good to go!

  1. Lulu is getting a lot of blogging love today! LOL Love it!! I swear, my son’s laundry breeds by itself! Not even full day will pass before the laundry pile nearly doubles! How in the world does it do that?! 😉 Go out there and kick Ragnar’s bootay!!! 🙂

  2. How perfect they sent you that and the laundry bags before Ragner! Perfect timing. With three gross boys and two girls in the house I need to check out that sport wash. Have fun at the relay!
