Mama’s Day brunch at the beach

This morning we made our way to Azul in La Jolla for mother’s day brunch. This restaurant is on Prospect and has awesome ocean view seating!

For about $15 per person the brunch comes with a fruit platter, a croissant platter, breakfast and your choice of a bloody mary, mimosa or screw driver. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside this morning since it’s pretty chilly out. Glad we did because by the time we were done eating it was sprinkling.

My mom, my sister and myself all had the Frutti Di Mari omelet. It had shrimp, scallops, pesto and fresh mozzarella inside. Calories don’t count when you are with family! My dad had a yellow fin sandwich and LD went with a mediterranean omelet. There is not a bad choice on the menu. The service at this place is amazing and the food is SO good.

After we ate enough to keep us full for the day it was family photo time!!

LD, H, Me, Bear

Little bear was not having it. She was done eating, tired and plain didn’t feel like taking photos. Sometimes I wonder where she gets it from.

None of us are looking at the camera. This is what happens when you have two men as photogs. They are both snapping away! No count down, no one camera at a time. At least we got a shot. Beggers can’t be choosers.

We tried to get bear into the picture but by this time she was on the floor having a fit. At least she waited til we got outside so that she could share her ability to scream with the WHOLE WORLD. Nice.

My poor dad got hosed. He is not in one picture. The man behind the lens. Sorry dad!

We are now home and it’s back to reality. Gotta hit up the grocery store while the little peeps get there nap on. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mama’s out there. Hope you are enjoying this day!!
